The Iris – Exhibition Show
A vibrant palette of blue, purple, yellow flowers. This is what irises in an arrangement look like. Combine this color burst with the ongoing exploration of floral forms by a talented and reputable artist. You get a journey through the evolution of the iris flower all in one. Let’s shed some lights on “the Iris”, a site-specific show by Rebecca Louise Law.
The Iris as Ephemeral Art
Rebecca is a London-based installation artist and is well praised in the floral and art world because she radiates an original and organic work of arts. Using natural materials, Rebecca crafts pieces that celebrate the environment and its inherently ever-changing nature. Each installation celebrates a specific flower. With an exhibition titled “The Iris”, it’s no brainer which blooming beauty is acclaimed.
“The Iris” explores further Rebecca’s ongoing quest of floral forms and their gradual evolution through the stages of birth, beauty and decay. This creates a vibrant palette of brilliant colors within the gallery, bringing nature into the site.
Rebecca was cited as saying
“I like to capture and cherish small beautiful natural objects to create an artwork that can be observed without the pressure of time. Preserving, treasuring, celebrating, and sharing the beauty of the earth with the world is what drives me.“
Her exhibition shows the striking features and native qualities of the flower. By inviting a bit of nature inside, Rebecca hopes to connect man and nature, the past and present.
